SiteCrate ("we", "us", "our") builds and hosts websites for Canadian small businesses. This policy explains what personal information we collect through sitecrate.ca, how we use it, and the choices you have. We are committed to handling your information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect

We only collect what we need to respond to you and deliver our service:

• Information you give us. When you submit the project brief, contact form, or book a call, we collect your name, email address, business name, and the details you choose to share about your business and project.
• Usage data. With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, approximate location, device type). This data is aggregated and not used to identify you personally.
• Booking data. If you book a call, our scheduling provider (Cal.com) processes your name, email, and selected time on our behalf.

How we use it

• To respond to your enquiry and prepare a quote.
• To design, build, host, and support your website.
• To send you project updates and respond to messages on your status page.
• To understand and improve how the site performs.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

Who processes your data

We rely on a small number of trusted service providers to operate. Each processes data only as needed to provide their service:

• Supabase — secure database storage for your brief and project records.
• Resend — transactional email (quotes, updates, notifications).
• Netlify — website hosting and content delivery.
• Cal.com — call scheduling.
• Google Analytics — anonymous usage analytics (only with your consent).

Cookies & analytics

We use a single analytics cookie set (Google Analytics 4) to measure site usage. It only loads if you accept analytics in the cookie banner shown on your first visit. You can decline, and the site will work exactly the same. You can change your choice anytime by clearing your browser's site data for sitecrate.ca. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

We keep project and contact records for as long as we have an active or prospective relationship with you, and as needed to meet legal and accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Your rights

Under PIPEDA you can ask to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and withdraw consent for analytics or marketing. To make a request, email us at hello@sitecrate.ca and we'll respond within 30 days.
