Terms of Service

These terms govern the websites and services provided by SiteCrate ("we", "us", "our") to you ("client"). By submitting a brief, booking a call, or engaging us for a project, you agree to these terms. They are a plain-language summary of how we work — a separate written quote or statement of work governs the specifics of your project and takes precedence where the two differ.

Our services

We design, build, launch, and optionally host and maintain websites and web applications. The exact scope, deliverables, and price for your project are set out in the fixed quote we send you before any work begins. We do not bill hourly and we do not add charges without your written approval.

Pricing & payment

• Project fees are fixed and quoted upfront in Canadian dollars (CAD).
• Unless your quote states otherwise, a deposit is due before work begins and the balance is due before the site is launched to your live domain.
• Optional monthly care plans are billed in advance and can be cancelled anytime, effective at the end of the current billing period.

Revisions & delivery

Each project includes one round of revisions during the review stage, plus 30 days of free support after launch. Delivery timelines stated on this site are typical estimates; your actual timeline depends on how quickly we receive your content, feedback, and approvals. Additional revisions or scope beyond the agreed quote are quoted separately before any work starts.

Ownership

Once your project is paid in full, you own the final website — the code, copy, content, and domain are yours. You're free to host it with us on a care plan or take the files and host wherever you like. We may display non-confidential work in our portfolio unless you ask us in writing not to.

Your responsibilities

• You confirm you have the right to use any content, logos, or images you provide.
• You're responsible for the accuracy of the business information you give us.
• You'll provide timely feedback and approvals so we can hit your timeline.

Hosting & care plans

Care plans cover hosting, security updates, backups, and a set amount of content changes each month as described on our pricing page. They renew monthly until cancelled. If you cancel, we'll provide your site files so you can move to another host.

Limitation of liability

We deliver our work with care, but we provide our services "as is" and cannot guarantee specific business outcomes such as search rankings, traffic, or sales. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to a project is limited to the fees you paid us for that project.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable there.
